Using the following guide you can gain access to the direct print driver.
First you will need to ensure that your machine is on version r.3278 or higher. If your machine is not compatible with this version, it will be unable to utilize the driver.
PDFCreator is a free software that will be used for the next steps, and can be downloaded from:
Once installed navigate to the Profiles tab at the top of the page, where you’ll toggle “Interactive” to “Automatic”, then click on the wrench icon and set the desired filename as output.pdf and the Target Directory as c:\output\
Delete the current Send/Open option for “Use PDF Architect”, as a new option will be added.
Under the Accounts tab click “Add Account” and select HTTP account where you will add http://fslXXXX.local/api/save-pdf as shown below in the localhost position, changing XXXX to the last 4 characters of your machine’s MAC address.
(If your MAC address is QWERTYUIOP12 your address would be fslOP12.local)
The MAC address can be located by opening the settings within Retina Engrave, or under the “About” page located under the tools section of the machine’s touch interface.
Editing your HTTP Account:
Select “Basic Authentication”, and deselect “Don’t Save Password”. Set your user name as “fsluser1234” and the password to “password1234”. This cannot be customized. Return to the Profiles tab and click “Add Action” under the Actions section. |
You are now ready to print directly to RE3! When ready to print, ensure you select PDFCreator as your print destination.
