In order to keep you Galvo machine spick and span we recommend preforming regular maintenance. By following the maintenance guidelines listed below your machine will continue to create wonderful engravings for years to come.
1. Clean Regularly:
Keep the workspace clean and clutter free. Dust and debris can accumulate in the engraving area and on the lenses, mirrors, and other components of the machine, which can affect the quality of the engraving and the performance of the laser. Clean the engraving area using a clean rag. Remove any nearby items that have strong magnetic or electric currents.
2. Check and Clean the Optics:
The optics of a Galvo laser engraver play a critical role in focusing and directing the laser beam. Regularly inspect the optics for any signs of dirt, debris, or damage. Clean the optics using optic grade lens wipes. Be gentle and avoid scratching the surfaces of the lenses or mirrors. If you notice any damage or deterioration of the optics, replace them promptly to ensure optimal engraving results. Below we have included a video directly showing how to clean our lenses.

3. Check and Adjust the Lens and Camera Calibrations:
The lens and camera work together to ensure the laser's high quality engravings. As a result if the lens is replace, then the camera must be recalibrated with it.
4. Follow Operational Guidelines:
Following the operational guidelines provided by the manufacturer is crucial for maintaining your Galvo laser engraver. Avoid using the machine outside of its recommended settings, such as exceeding the maximum engraving speed or power, as this can cause unnecessary strain on the machine and shorten its lifespan. Also, ensure that the engraver is operated in a well-ventilated area to prevent the buildup of smoke and fumes, and avoid using it on materials that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
