Preparations:
- Get the Linear Rail out of its packaging and place it on a flat surface.
- Check the Limit Flags and Switches located at the bottom of the rail to see if they have been attached securely.
- Check if the Motor has been attached to the rail securely.
Installation Steps:
- Attach the Rail Mounting Plates to both sides of the rails using 2 m3x6 screws and 2 m3 washers each. Note that the M3 Nuts are inside the rail slots.
- Make sure your machine is off. Then open the machine’s Lid, making sure there are no USB or Ethernet cables connected on the right side of the base.
- Take off screws on both sides and the top front of the base with a 2.5mm Hex Key.
- Save all the screws for later use, pull out the drawer slowly and carefully, do not overpull any wires. Make sure the table is large enough to prevent the drawer from dropping.
- If your machines boards are similar to the ones shown below, then unplug the power cable (circled in red) and trace the two wires to the 36V Power Supply.
Take off this wire from the power supply by losing screw with a screwdriver.
- Connect the voltage converter to the 36V power supply. Plug the red wire into the +V terminal, plug the black wire to the -V terminal, tighten up screws with a screwdriver and make sure wires are securely attached to the power supply.
- Plug the output wires of the voltage converter into the power pins of the PCB board.
- Loose the M5 screw on the base with a 3mm Hex Key, slide in the adapter plate as shown, then tighten up the screw. Make sure the plate is securely attached.
- Feed wires into the opening, pull the wires out through the front of the base. Unplug the Rotary Motor Wire from the board. Plug the Linear Rail Extension wires into the ports shown in the picture.
- Plug the Wire attached to the motor to the circular connector on the adapter plate.
- Connect the Limit Switch Wires to the connector on the wire coming from the motor.
- Make sure there is no loose wire inside the base except the rotary wire inside the drawer. Then close the drawer and reinstall the 6x M4x6 screws to keep the drawer in place.
