The Muse Galvo machines come equipped with a red diode that is attached to the rear of the machine. The diode is positioned to line up with the laser diode when positioned according to the focal length of the lens. The laser can be focused by lowering the Z-stage until the machine diode aligns with it.
The red diode is adaptable to objects of varying heights, requiring only minor realignment with the laser diode for proper engraving. Compared to other focusing methods, diode focusing is faster and easier, but one must keep in mind that changing to a new lens requires readjustment of the rear diode.
The machine should first be adjusted by focusing the machine manually or by using the QR card. Once aligned, use the provided tool to adjust the side nob (see above) until it aligns with the laser diode. Once the adjustment is made we recommend moving the laser stage and performing a focus test to ensure optimal results.
